This high grade Waltham Pocket Watches is lever set and stem wound and is a 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of sizes. This is one of the highest of grade pocket watches in the American Waltham Watch Company line up of pocket watches and shows their commitment to manufacturing high grade Railroad Pocket Watches. This Waltham is all original and a wonderful configuration with the ornate 23 Jewel Movement, faced with the desired Montgomery Dial and housed in this Star Watch Case Company 10K Gold Filled Case and highlighted with the heat-treated blued steel hands. This pocket watch has been used in service on the rails with “watch inspector” marks on the inside back cover. This Waltham does show years of appreciation with some crazing on the dial, the only issue and it still showing beautifully.

This is another excellent example of the of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a world wide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. This Waltham Vanguard Pocket Watch has just been serviced. The service entails a complete disassembly all parts cleaned in an ultra sonic bath and then reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease then adjusted for accuracy on a digital timer.

This Waltham 23 Jewel Vanguard Movement is in excellent condition without reckless jewelers tool marks or corrosion. This is a later movement yet they still retained the antique damasking, most movements from this period had a plan pin stripe damasking pattern. This fine 3/4 Plate Nickel Silver Movement has 23 fine Ruby Jewels, adjusted to 6 positions and is also adjusted to heat and cold. This fine movement also has a double roller, high-grade micro regulator, gold balance weights, flush and screw jewel settings, gold center wheel and train and is lever set and stem wound with a steel escapement. This Waltham 23 Jewel Vanguard has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.

This Waltham 23 Jewel Vanguard Movement is housed in a pristine Star Watch Case Company Case. The Lever Set Railroad Case is a beautiful 10K Gold Filled finish. This Star Case is in just excellent condition without the digs, dents or scratches one might expect to find. This is a Star Case Company Case manufactured for Waltham and is referred to a Model RF #1 and has beautiful detailing on the bezel. The detail on the bezel is referred to as a Coin Edge and designed to help grip the bezel when removing the bezel to set the time. This Railroad Model Case is a size 16 case measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular size Railroad Pocket Watch manufactured.
