This mechanical Howard pocket watch is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular size pocket watch. This Series 4 has a 17 jewel movement, and is stem set and stem wound. This antique Howard movement has the desired “checkerboard” damasking pattern on the nickel silver plates. This was truly the scientific instrument of the day in 1910, on par with the smartphone of today.

This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for beauty and accuracy in timekeeping.

This Antique Howard Pocket Watch has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy. This entails a complete disassembly with all parts cleaned and reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease.

This mechanical Howard pocket watch is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular size pocket watch. This Series 4 has a 17 jewel movement, and is stem set and stem wound. This antique Howard movement has the desired antique “checkerboard” damasking pattern on the nickel silver plates.This was truly the scientific instrument of the day in 1910, on par with the smartphone of today. The Howard Series 4 movement has the beautiful, ornate antique damasking. This Series 4 is referred to as a 3⁄4 Plate Movement and is stem set and stem wound. The movement has 17 Ruby jewels with Sapphire Pallet Fork jewels. The movement is adjusted to 5 positions and is also adjusted to heat and cold. This fine movement has a high-grade Reed regulator, double roller, Breguet Hairspring, gold balance weights and raised jewel settings with a gold center and steel escapement, all designed for extreme accuracy This fine timepiece has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.

This Howard Pocket Watch is faced with this desired antique font script, on this Breguet railroad style dial. This antique dial has the desired antique Howard logo with “Howard” still spelled out in the Heavy Gothic font. This logo was later changed to “Howard” in a plain box font. These ornate dials were made using 2 Copper Plates soldered together, and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial the deep rich porcelain finish. This dial is in excellent condition without flaws, showing clean and bright! This beautiful dial is highlighted with the original custom blued Steel spade whip hands. This truly fine timepiece shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.
