This Elgin Grade 303 movement is housed in this beautiful and ornately engraved Elgin Tivoli 14K White Gold Fill Case. The Grade 303 Movement is beautifully crafted with ornate damasking on the Nickel Silver Plates. The Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch of the day was manufactured to the highest of standards and this is an excellent example.

Folks we are pleased to offer for your consideration this Elgin Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch of the day circa 1911. This Elgin Pocket Watch is a size 12 measuring 1¾ inch in diameter and is stem set and stem wound. This Elgin Grade 303 movement is housed in this beautiful and ornately engraved Elgin Tivoli 14K White Gold Fill Case. The Grade 303 Movement is beautifully crafted with ornate damasking on the Nickel Silver Plates. The Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch of the day was manufactured to the highest of standards and this is an excellent example. This all-original Elgin Pocket Watch is faced with a flawless white porcelain dial and highlighted with heat treated Blued Steel Hands. I so hope the pictures and extreme magnification help tell the story of this truly fine Elgin Pocket Watch.
The fine Elgin is faced with this pristine white porcelain dial. This classic dial is made by soldering two copper plates together: one for the outer circumference with the Arabic numerals and the Elgin logo. The second plate is for the recessed second-hand sub chapter. The copper plates are then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial that delicate, deep rich porcelain/glass finish. This classic Elgin Dial has the popular stylized Elgin Arabic font crafted in black with every 5-minute mark highlighted in red Arabic numerals around the outer circumference. A fine Elgin Pocket Watch that shows beautifully and sure to be appreciated for generations to come.
This Elgin Grade 303 Movement is a 7 Jewel Movement with antique ornate damasking on the Nickel Silver Plates. This movement is in excellent condition without reckless jeweler’s tool marks or corrosion. This beautifully manufactured Elgin Grade 303 is again a 7-jewel movement, adjusted to 3 positions with a high-grade micro regulator, solid gold balance weights, gold jewel settings, gold center wheel and train, stem wound and stem set with a steel escapement. This fine configuration makes for a wonderful and collectable antique Elgin Pocket Watch. This Elgin Pocket Watch has just bees serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.
This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
