This pristine Hamilton Grade 992 Movement is referred to as the Model 1 with the double screw winding barrel. The early 992 also have the beautiful more ornate damasking with the lettering highlighted in gold. The later Grade 992’s went to the single winding barrel screw and the simple pin stripe damasking pattern. This Grade 992 was manufactured to the highest of standards and we have and excellent example without reckless jewelers tool marks or corrosion. This Hamilton 992 Movement is lever set and stem wound with 21 fine Ruby and Sapphire Pallet Jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions. This movement is also adjusted to heat and cold with a high-grade micro regulator. This ¾ movement has gold balance weights, Brequet Hairspring with flush and raised gold jewel settings, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement all designed for exceptional accuracy. This finest of pocket watches has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.

This Hamilton Grade 992 is faced with the classic Double Sunk Hamilton Railroad Dial. The Double Sunk Railroad Dial was the top of the line dial Hamilton offered. The Double Sunk Dial has the recessed center chapter with the Hamilton logo in the block font. Then we have the raised outer chapter for the Hamilton stylized Arabic font numerals. Also on the raised outer circumference we have each 5-minute maker highlighted in red Arabic numerals. Then we have a recessed sub chapter for the ornate antique second hand. These fine dials were made using 3 copper plates soldered together then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial that deep rich porcelain finish. Truly the classic Hamilton Railroad Dial both beautiful and the height of functionality. This fine dial is in excellent condition and is highlighted with the original beautiful Blued Steel Spade Railroad Hands. This fine Hamilton Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.
