Waltham Watch Co. – Platinum Gentleman’s Dress Pocket Watch of the Day

Between 1850 and 1957, the Waltham Watch Company made some 40 million watches, clocks, speedometers, compasses and other precision instruments. Waltham also catered to an exclusive clientele, selling limited edition pocket watches only their wealthiest clients could afford.

Dating to 1919, this Waltham pocket watch is exceptional in every way. The unusual case shape and material – platinum, ringed with approximately one carat of diamonds (also adorning the bow) separate it from commonplace railroad grade pieces.

The Waltham’s slanted, applied numerals add elegance to a perfectly preserved dial. Deleting the small seconds hand’s indices maintains the watch’s stunning minimalism. This Gentleman’s Dress Pocket Watch is a size 12, measuring 1 3/4 inches in diameter.

It’s powered by Waltham’s high grade Riverside movement. And then there’s the case engraving over the movement. The leaf motif is striking in both its precision and design. It’s a feature this pocket watch dealer hasn’t encountered in over a decade of business. It elevates to the Waltham’s collectibility to another level.

All our treasured timepieces are completely disassembled, expertly cleaned and oiled using the finest quality watch oil and gear grease, and adjusted for accuracy. Full one year warranty.
