This Illinois Pocket Watch is faced with a top of the line Double Sunk Dial, truly a rare find in such pristine condition. The Illinois logo is in the desired and now rare Heavy Gothic motif. The Heavy Goth motif was very popular at the turn of the century. This dial was made using 3 pieces of copper soldered together and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial that deep rich glass finish. The raised outer circumference has the rich Heavy Gothic bold Arabic numerals with every 5-minute maker highlighted in red around the outer circumference. Then we have a recessed center chapter with the Illinois Watch Co. in the most desired HG motif. We also have the recessed sub chapter for the second hand. This ornate dial was again the top of the line dial when offered. This beautiful dial is highlighted with the original blued Steel Railroad Spade/Whip Hands in pristine condition. This timepiece shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

This pristine Bunn Special Movement is in pristine condition and keeping “railroad time” as designed. This fine Bunn has 21 fine Ruby Jewels and is Lever Set and Stem Wound. Then we have a Double Roller, Reed Regulator, high-grade Micrometer Regulator, and Gold Balance Weights, raised Gold Jewel Cup Settings with a Gold Center Wheel and Train all designed for extreme accuracy. This was scientific instrument of the day. This extra fine timepiece is housed in Wadsworth Case Company Case. We have the original case to this movement, a Yellow Gold Fill finish; it does have some wear through. This case shows normal wear for a 109-year-old case, the engraving is not as crisp as it once was. The case is in excellent operating condition with no flaws. We have to live with the wear to the case in this circumstance, being all original and the movement, dial and hands all being pristine. This classic Illinois Pocket Watch has just been serviced and would be an excellent addition to any collection or ready for daily wear.
