This fine Waltham is a size 18 and measures 2 ¼ inches in diameter and was their top of the line offering in the day. These Hunter Case Pocket Watches are getting harder to locate and we have a wonderful example with this high grade Waltham movement housed in a beautiful Coin Silver Hunter Case. The Coin Silver (like 14/ 18K Gold) is a very soft metal and many if not most cases did not survive the last 130 years. The Hunter Case Pocket Watch was a symbol of status and prestige few could afford and still uncommon at the turn of the 20th century. This fine Waltham Pocket Watch is all original with the dial, case, hands and movement all in excellent condition. This is an excellent example of ingenuity that made the late 19th and early 20th Century American Pocket Watch Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. This Antique Waltham Pocket Watch has just been serviced. The service entails a complete disassembly all parts cleaned in an ultra sonic bath and then reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease. Then adjusted for accuracy both on a digital timer and by hand. This Antique Waltham Pocket Watch is warranted for one full year from the date of purchase.
