Truly the classic Hamilton Railroad Pocket Watch. The Hamilton Grade 992B was first introduced in 1940 and was the pinnacle and the last of the great Hamilton Railroad Models introduced. First produced in 1940 and was the last off the production line in 1969. Total production of the 992B was just 685,300 over 29 years in 31 production runs. This Hamilton Railroad Pocket Watch is in excellent condition and hopefully the pictures and extreme magnification help tell the story of this truly fine Hamilton Railroad Pocket Watch.

This Hamilton 992B is faced with this pristine and highly desired Hamilton Single Sunk Dial. This dial is referred to as a Montgomery Dial with each minute marker around the outer circumference. This is the classic railroad dial with the Montgomery Dial and the Old English font often referred to as the Blindman’s Dial. This Hamilton Railroad Dial is one of the most popular and collected of all railroad dials, both beautiful and the height of functionality. These fine dials are made using many layers of baked Silica giving the dial a deep rich, porcelain appearance. This fine dial is highlighted with the original beautifully Blue Steel Railroad Hands. The Hamilton Pocket Watch Grade 992B is one of the most popular and collected of all Railroad Pocket Watches manufactured. This is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of size pocket watches. The Hamilton Grade 992B is lever set and stem wound movement with 21 fine Ruby Jewels. This fine movement is also adjusted to 6 positions and adjusted to heat and cold with flush gold jewel settings and a double roller. This highest grade pocket watch also has a micro regulator, gold balance weights, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement all designed for an incredibly accurate timepiece. This highest grade pocket watch kept the Hamilton Watch Company in the forefront of the major pocket watch manufactures and helped them maintain the title of “The Railroad Timekeeper of America”.
