We have of one of the most popular configurations with this pristine Hamilton Double Sunk Railway Special Boxcar Dial, 992B Lever Set Movement, Black Steel Spade/ Whip Railroad Hands housed in this Stainless Steel Hamilton Model 15 Case. The Hamilton Model 15 Case was first seen advertised by Hamilton in 1950 and is the strongest of Hamilton’s classic Railroad Pocket Watch Cases. The Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch Grade 992B Movement was also first introduced in 1940 and was the pinnacle and the last of the great Hamilton Railroad Models introduced. First produced in 1940 and was the last off the production line in 1969 with a total production of 685,300 over 29 years in 31 production runs. This Hamilton Railway Pocket Watch is in excellent condition and hopefully the many pictures and extreme magnification help tell the story of this truly fine Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch.

This extra fine Hamilton 992B is faced with the highly desired Hamilton Railway Special Dial; this is the classic railroad dial with the bold Hamilton Boxcar Arabic font numerals. We have the recessed center portion for the highly desired Hamilton Railway Special logo and the raised outer circumference for the classic Boxcar font numerals, with the sunken center sub chapter second hand. This Hamilton Railway Special Dial is one of the most popular and collected of all railroad dials, both beautiful and the height of functionality. The dial is the original Melamine found on these later model 992B Movements. This fine Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

The Hamilton Railway Special Grade 992B Movement is one of the most durable and accurate of all Railroad Grade Pocket Watches manufactured. The Grade 992B first introduced in 1940 replacing the 992 in Hamilton’s line up of the finest of Railroad Grade Pocket Watches. The 992B is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of size pocket watches. The Hamilton Grade 992B is lever set and stem wound with 21 fine Ruby Jewels. Then we also have flush gold jewel settings, double roller, Brequet Hairspring, high-grade micro regulator, gold balance weights, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement, all designed for an incredibly durable and accurate timepiece. This fine Hamilton has just been serviced and it is incredibly accurate timepiece, as designed.
