Raymond Pocket Watch is one of the Elgin Watch Companies top of the line offerings. This fine timepiece is Lever Set and Stem Wound and a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of sizes. This Grade 571 is highlighted with this rare Elgin Boxcar Dial; we have both the model B.W. Raymond and the dp design under the Elgin Logo. The dp design was for the Dura Power Mainspring, a newly developed alloy, stronger and more flexible for added accuracy and dependability. We have a wonderful all original configuration for your consideration with this Grade 571 Movement, popular Boxcar Dial and housed in this Elgin/Star Case Company 10K Yellow Gold Fill Case and highlighted with beautifully Blued Steel Spade Whip Hands. This rare Elgin Railroad Dial is in pristine condition bright white and without flaws. The Elgin “Boxcar” Railroad Dial has the classic bold and functional Arabic font. This Elgin Dial is referred to as single sunk dial with the Elgin logo and the Dura Power dp Logo in the center of the dial with a black circle painted around the center circumference. This fine dial is rare in that it also has the model B.W. Raymond written out. Then we have the Elgin Boxcar font Arabic numerals around the outer circumference with a recessed sub register for the custom second hand. This fine dial is made using two copper plates, and then baked with many layers of Silica to give the dial depth and the rich Porcelain finish. This beautiful dial is highlighted with the original heat-treated beautifully Blued Steel Spade/Whip Railroad Hands again in pristine condition. This all original Elgin Pocket Watch is in just excellent condition and shows beautifully and sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

This Elgin 571 Movement has the wide Shadow Line damasking and is in pristine condition without reckless jewelers tool marks or corrosion. This fine Elgin Grade 571 Movement has 21 large fine Ruby Jewels and the Dura Power Mainspring for added durability and accuracy. This high-grade movement is also Lever Set and Stem Wound with a double roller, safety pinion, high-grade micro regulator and gold balance weights. We also have flush pressed jewel settings with a gold center wheel and train. This Elgin 571 Pocket Watch is also adjusted to 9 positions and temperature all designed for extreme accuracy and dependability. This has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.

This is another excellent example of the late 19th and early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
