This is one of the highest-grade pocket watches manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company or any other watch manufacture of the day. This Ball Hamilton Model 999P was manufactured in partnership with Webb C. Ball who at the request of the U.S Department of the Interior set the standard for railroad timekeeping in 1894, this was after a disastrous accident between two mail trains with extensive loss of life and propriety all due to a faulty timepiece. This is truly a collector’s pocket watch, it is referred to as triple signed, that is the dial, movement and case are each marked patented Ball Model. Not only is this a triple signed Ball Hamilton Pocket Watch we also have one of the most desired configurations with the patented GF Ball Model 110 Stirrup Bow Case, 999 Movement and the porcelain Ball Dial all in pristine condition.

This is one of the highest-grade pocket watches manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company or any other watch manufacture of the day. This Ball Hamilton Model 999P was manufactured in partnership with Webb C. Webb C. Ball did not produce any pocket watches himself; rather he worked with the major watch companies to produce these finest of Railroad Grade Pocket Watches. This is truly a collector’s pocket watch, it is referred to as triple signed that is the dial, movement and case are all marked Ball Model. Not only is this a triple signed Ball Hamilton we also have one of the most desired of configurations with this Green GF Ball Model Stirrup Bow Case, 999 Movement and the porcelain Ball Dial all in pristine condition. This Ball Hamilton 999P Pocket Watch is housed in this pristine and rare 14K Gold Fill Green Gold Fill Stirrup Bow Case, Catalog Case #110. The Stirrup Bow in the 14K Green GF has the most ornate engraving and is the most popular in this series of four cases; most had no or far less engraving and the bows were plain. This case was patented by Webb C. Ball and manufactured by the Wadsworth Case Company and is marked “Ball Model” on the inside back cover. The 14K Green Gold Fill Case was manufactured in limited production runs keeping demand high, the Green Gold was very popular in the Art Deco motif of the day. The beautiful engraving is still crisp and the cartouche has not been personalized yet. This is truly an exceptional Ball Hamilton Grade 999 Pocket Watch and ready for daily wear or as a cornerstone addition to any collection.

This Ball Hamilton is faced with this pristine porcelain Single Sunk Railroad Dial. The dial has the highly desired Ball Logo, Ball made two model dials; this is the more ornate and far less common of the two. This Ball patented dial is height of functionality and is again in pristine condition. The Single Sunk Dial has a recessed sub register for the second hand. This dial is made using two copper plates, and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial the depth and this deep rich porcelain finish. This beautiful dial is highlighted with the original heat-treated blued steel Spade/Spade Railroad Hands also in pristine condition. This fine Ball Hamilton shows beautifully and is sure to appreciated for generations to come.

This all-original Ball Hamilton 999P Pocket Watch is a size 16, measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of sizes. Then this Ball Hamilton 999P Movement is again of the highest of grade movements. The wind is smooth as any pocket watch I have had, just an incredible movement. This pristine movement has the unique circular damasking pattern with 21 fine Ruby and Sapphire Pallet Jewels. Then the 999P also has a high-grade micro regulator, double barrel, gold balance weights, raised gold and flush jewel settings, gold center wheel and train; lever set stem wound with a steel escapement. This 999P is also adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, all designed for extreme accuracy. This is Ball Hamilton is one of the finest Railroad Grade Pocket Watches manufactured and the one most collected of all pocket watches. This fine timepiece has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.
