The pristine Hamilton Grade 992 Movement is housed in this Yellow Gold Fill B&B Case Company Case. The Hamilton Grade 992 is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular of sizes. This classic Hamilton Pocket Watch has the desired configuration with the pristine 992 Movement, mint Hamilton Double Sunk Dial housed in this Yellow Gold Fill Railroad Case highlighted and with the original Blued Steel Spade Railroad Hands. This Hamilton 992 was used on the rails and very well maintained with “Railroad Inspectors” numbers on the inside back cover with magnification need to see. I so hope the pictures and magnification help tell the story of this truly fine Hamilton Railroad Grade 992 Railroad Pocket Watch.

This Hamilton Grade 992 is faced with a flawless Double Sunk Hamilton Railroad Dial. This dial is made using 3 copper plates soldered together then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial that deep rich Porcelain finish. The Hamilton Double Sunk Dial has the recessed center chapter with the Hamilton logo in the desired antique signed script. Then we have the raised outer chapter for the Hamilton stylized Arabic font numerals. Also on the raised around outer circumference we have each 5-minute maker highlighted in red Arabic numerals. Then we have a recessed sub chapter for the second hand. Truly the classic Hamilton Railroad Dial both beautiful and the height of functionality. This pristine dial is again without flaws and is highlighted with the original beautiful Blued Steel Spade Railroad Hands. This fine Hamilton Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

This pristine Hamilton Grade 992 Movement is referred to as the Model 1 with the double-screw winding barrel. The early Model 1 Grade 992 also have the beautiful more ornate damasking with the lettering highlighted in gold. The later Grade 992’s went to the less ornate pin stripe damasking pattern. The total production for the Model 1 Grade 992 was only 101,000 over 14 years from 1903 through 1917. This Grade 992 was manufactured to the highest of standards and we have and excellent example without corrosion or reckless jewelers tool marks. This Hamilton 992 Movement is Lever Set and Stem Wound with 21 fine Ruby Jewels and adjusted to 5 positions. The movement is also adjusted to heat and cold with a high-grade regulator. The movement also has gold balance weights with raised gold jewel settings, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement all designed for exceptional accuracy. This finest of pocket watches has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.
