This antique Elgin is faced with a pristine porcelain dial. This fine dial is referred as a single sunk dial; made using two Copper plates soldered together and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial the deep rich porcelain finish. This dial has the classic Roman numerals, popular through the turn of the century. Then around the outer circumference we have every five-minute marker highlighted in red with a sunken sub-chapter for the second hand. A beautiful dial highlight with beautifully blued steel spade/whip style hands. This classic Elgin Hunter Case Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

The pristine Elgin Grade 302 Movement is stem wound and stem set circa 1905. This fine 111-year-old movement is in pristine condition without reckless jewelers tool marks or corrosion. The nickel silver plates have the antique damasking with 15 fine Ruby Jewels. Then we have the Micrometer Regulator, Gold Balance Weights and raised Gold Jewel Cup Settings with a Gold Center Wheel. This Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch of the day was designed to be both accurate and beautiful and we have an excellent example in this Elgin Pocket Watch circa 1905.
